FOUNDER/COACH LUYANDO

Coach started boxing back in 1972 at the age of 9. He has competed in Park District PAL Golden Gloves, AAU Shows, and Junior Olympics several years. He got into coaching in 1994 and has coached Silver Gloves at a National and Regional Level, Junior Olympics National and Regional Level, USA National and Regional Level, Golden Gloves National Level, Eastern Qualifiers, and U of I Collegian National Level. He is still highly active in the boxing community as Trainer, Manager, and Promoter to all his Amateur and Pro Fighters. He has owned Luyando Boxing Club for 25 years and is committed to taking all his fighters to the next level.

Under the training of Head Coach Nelson, Nate has competed in 70 plus fights and graced the rings of some of the most well-known amateur events like: National Olympic Qualifiers, Golden Gloves, Illinois State Nationals, and Silver Gloves. He is still actively fighting as a Pro Boxer in 2021 while also teaching the skills of Boxing in his classes offered at the gym.

Kayliegh has been training for over 10 years. Started out as a way to loss some weight and quickly turned into a passion. Completed in Golden Gloves 2019 and decided to make Boxing her life. Took over ownership in late 2019 and moved the gym into a new larger facility.
